Long before Pennsylvania was called the “Keystone State,” this land was shaped by Indigenous stewardship rooted in reciprocity, biodiversity, and care for future generations. That relationship was violently interrupted by colonization, and the consequences of that disruption remain.

Our work restoring native plant communities exists within this larger history. We offer our respect to the Lenape people past and present, and we commit to ongoing learning, relationship, and tangible support for Indigenous-led efforts.
